What is the most disgusting thing you have seen in the barracks?

I was station at Kunsan AB, Korea and was a narcotics dog handler. One night I got a phone call from the Army unit attached to the base for a no notice dorm sweep. I entered one of the privates room. I noticed my dog was not sniffing but would stop and shake its paws like something was on them. The room was worse than a dumpster. I took my dog outside for a few minutes and the First Sgt asked why I did not clear the room. I told the First Sgt that the room was very nasty and I had to take my dog out for few minutes. The First Sgt turned bright red with anger and yelled at the private "Your room is so nasty even a dog does not want to go in there!" After about 15 minutes, I got my dog to finally clear the room.

Marines.

Filthy, disgusting, life-ending, unstoppable, nasty, mission-achieving, dirty Marines.

top three in no specific order, black mold everywhere, ladybug infestation, naked slip and slide in the hallway.

While in basic I was squad leader for the entire cycle as I was a "college boy" and DS thought I should be a leader. He gave me 2 split opt high school kids (16 year olds between junior and senior year of HS). One of them was an ass-kicking killer from Alabama the other.....well he was special. Looking back I think he was just extremely immature and not ready for basic at all. Here is his story. I would have to go into the bay (platoon guide and I had a 2 man room) to wake my squad each morning at 0400. One morning after flipping on the lights I saw Snuffy get out of bed and before he threw the blanket back I noticed the sheets were brown. :( I thought "Oh no, he shit the bed" As he walked out of the bay I turned the blanket back to realize the bed was full of DIRT. I mumbled "WTF?" and his bunk mate, with a thick Nigerian accent said "Specialist, he won't wash his ASS!!" We were in the middle of BRM in JULY at Ft Leonard Wood. Temps were well into the 90s and this jokers hadn't bathed in at least a WEEK. I took him aside and told him to fix his shit that afternoon. He didn't. I brought it to the DSs and all they had to say was "We will be leaving for the night at 1900 hrs...." I got the message. That night when we came for him he tried to hide in the laundry room. We found him and he got the scrub brush and simple green clean up. Never was a problem after that.

My roommate at GFAFB had a Canadian rentable lady in his bunk. We got up for duty the next morning and of course he was a little under the weather and was going to skip his shower. I told him he may want to at least brush his teeth. When he went into the squad bathroom to do so, he noticed what I had already say. Dried caked blood in his moustache and on his chin. The last sound I heard as I left for Guard mount, was him puking.

Probably dead rats. You could smell them from down the hall. Soldier had so much crap in his room that he didnt even noticed he rats sharing thr room with him. Who knows how long the rat was there. I blamed his leadership for that one. It was terrible.

We were all hanging out in a fellow soldiers room and someone opened his drawer and sitting on top was a pocket p&$$y. They lifted it up for everyone to share in the laughter of such a find. It was still in its case with lid off), but when they lifted it up at a tilt...Old baby batter came spilling out...Grossest thing ever

back in the 80s. old crappy barracks with a common latrine down the hall. One particular airman was too lazy to make the walk so he had a 5 gallon bucket in his wall locker that he used for a toilet.

Walking back from the e-club with a buddy we entered our barracks hallway. The lights were out and night sticks had been broken and splattered all over the walls. Beer bottles lay broken from one end of the hallway to the other. It was a disaster. Don't know what they were on or smoking but the story I heard was that the beer bottles breaking against the wall made a cool effect with the night stick colors.
