What is the one gift that you gave to the opposite sex (because you were IN LOVE/LUST!)?

So here is what I am wondering? How many guys or gals for that matter, you start into a relationship....things go well...You go out and you buy that one special gift to impress!!! What was it? Did you have to save for it? Did you ever get the gift returned back to you? Did you ever regret that decision? THIS SHOULD BE GOOD!!!

That's the coolest so far....Mostly because of the total time you put into it. Realistically the most sincere gift is that of your time, however you choose to use it. Its the gift you can never take back or get back. Once used it is gone forever. I guess that's why they say "time is precious"

1LT Sandy Annala I think the gift of Lady Diana Rigg, would be the sexiest ever! and I totally think to would be a forever gift, memories last forever and are never gone. I once took a GF to Niagara Falls for a three day weekend and we did it all there from the Cave of the winds to the Boats that go almost under the Falls. I know not where she is today, but will always remember that trip.

I had a boyfriend who was so hot it made me stupid so I bought him a motorcycle. I didn't have to save for it but I did have to sell it.
Well actually...I made him pay me back for it...and then I sold it...and then I broke up with him.
Bad boyfriends have to learn lol.

SSgt Gregory Guina I recall one guy ignored that advised went back had his girl leave him after she got to bragg and then he married a striper a week later. That didn't work either. Who would have thought.

CPT (Join to see) I would have thought that a young soldier and a stripper would have lasted forever I mean they are always getting married isn't that a match made in heaven.

I met my wife on a Friday and bought her an engagement ring the very next day. Dropped about 5 paychecks on it.
Just kidding. That was actually like 2 years later. As far as gifts....flowers, candy, just the usual type stuff for me.

Well, this one time...
My husband told me he liked spicy peanuts, so...I ordered, and had shipped to the door, like 30 lbs of hot peanuts.
He was very careful, from then on, to express what he wants.

Once upon a time I gave my wife a ring. It IS a Diamond and Ruby ring in a gold setting and she loves it. I did not have to go into hock for it, but it was fairly expensive.
However, the way I gave it to her was even better. She had always wanted to go up on a hot air Balloon so for our Anniversary we went for a balloon ride. It was in Williamsburg, VA and the day was beautiful. Of course any good Hot Air Balloon ride starts very EARLY in the morning so we had to be there to meet and see the inflation at 0600. That was an hour from where we lived so it was very early to start. The entire ride lasted well over an hour and about half way into it, I got down in my knee and asked her of she was happy married to me and she said yes, so I asked her if we could continue and slipped the ring on her finger. She was amazed and cried.
This was our 10th Anniversary and this is still the ring she wears every day and smiles when she puts it on. (This year is 38.)

SrA Jeff Campbell, the one gift I gave my better half or companion is perhaps the best thing she ever could ever have.
We can't exchange and even if we could we wouldn't because the value of this Gift (The entire world doesn't have the money for it) is worth my entire life and even more. I don't regret that decision and on every holiday, every birthday I can say that gift is so valuable that its a reminder this is a gift for life.
Pic1 is the Gift, Pic 2 is that gift today.

Well you kind of have to know your partner and have the balance of knowing and being spontaneous. Pat was my first true love and 7 years later still is. When we got married I had to fly to San Diego for training. She flew in to see me once or twice.
She loves flowers and jewelry. I got her a gorgeous ring for near-clearance price with a diamond that changed color from green to purple depending on how the sun beamed on it. It was spontaneous and she was ecstatic. Other time I ordered flowers to be delivered at her job site from 800-flowers. She didn't expected them and was 'star of the day' at work. So be spontaneous sometimes!

As far as material possessions go -
I gave my husband a new camera last year for his birthday. Only problem is that it is nicer than my camera...
Best gift (or one of them) I got from him was a Roomba vacuum. That thing is amazing. I get home from work, and the house is freshly vacuumed by itself (which is good because we have a German Shedder)

A small box of Fig Newtons. When I started my 20 year nightmare with the woman who shall not be named, I think back to a question I asked in 1993.....What can I make you for breakfast? She said she wanted Fig Newtons (later she said it was a test) because NO ONE keeps fig newtons at the ready. I went to the store and got the fig newtons. Apparently, that was the way she determined that she could manipulate someone into getting what she wanted. I can't even look at fig newtons anymore.
