What is the single most improperly worn ribbon?

In my experience, the Expeditionary Medal is usually worn incorrectly. Some folks place the middle stripes red/white/blue when it should be blue/white/red.

There's a SGT in my unit that wears the Korean War medal along with the Korean Defense Service Medal Bc he claims he was told to get it. I tried to enlighten him but he wasn't having it hahaha

I have 3 branches of medals that's fun, its like playing musical chairs.

Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. The three center stripes are supposed to go blue, white, red...i see it backwards often...even in official photos

AFRM should be worn with M device. Bronze for first citation, not sure of requirements for silver and gold. M for "mobilized". Reserve deployment participation medal

My only question is...what's up with this "Leg Ranger"?

Army of Occupation ribbon.

I guess that's true it's a ten year award so hourglass immediately accompanies it.

Outstanding Unit Award if you have a V. According to the regulations you can have the V and 3 other devices. So if you have more you are wrong you should have two ribbons like I have on my ribbon rack.

I first came in back in the 70s. We didn't have so many badges, pins, ribbons, tabs, & other things on our uniforms. I am retired now & won't even dare try to figure out my ribbons now. So many changes just about every year. To multiple ribbons yet. Even my Army of Occupation ribbon that was stopped being issued when the Berlin Wall came down now has attachment for it. I did my 1 year tour in Iraq back in 2004-2005 & now I think it takes 2 stars. When will the Army stop making so many uniform & award changes & get back to readiness & training?

Armed forces expeditionary is often worn backwards

Has anyone heard if Congress is going to make the Cold War Medal a legitimate medal us old timers can wear or will it stay a VFW/American Legion Medal?
It would be nice to have that recognition of serving during the Cold War.

SGM'S, MSG'S' PLT SGT'S and DRill Sgt's in the Reserve and Guard seem to think they know it all 99% will not check a Reg for guidance and if you don't want to get blacked balled You had better be sneeky when talking to one just have the reg in hand and use a hell of a lot of tack. Most will stab you in the back in a heart beat.

For the Army, AR 670-1 talks about authorized uniform regs, but the DA PAM 670-1 talks about the actual wear and placement.

Maybe the Army of Occupation Ribbon which I was awarded years ago, very easy to wear it backwards, I think the black part faces in!!

Went to the Army birthday ball and corrected 2 Soldiers walking around with upside down ribbon racks. Like seriously, rackbuilder.com - it does the work for you!
