What is your criteria when sending a RP member a Contact request or accepting such a request from a member?

We all get many request daily from RP members to be a Contact, what makes you accept that request? Is it because they are/were in the same Branch of Service , that they served in the same Unit, their Rank, their deployments, their MOS, their involvement in RP discussions, their interest in certain issues, the location or State that they are from or is it just out of curiosity? I’m sure that many RP members would be interested to know why you accept their invitations. And if you don’t accept that invitation, what turns you off?

I accept every request that comes my way Sgt David G Duchesneau. I try to ensure that I have common interest with everybody that I request as a contact - shared faith in Christ, love of history, music, reading and humor, being stationed in Germany, and infantry service are some of the interest I am most interested in.

Sgt David G Duchesneau, I generally prefer that the RP member be verified, but that's about it. I've even connected with old jarheads, can you believe it?!

Damn Colonel, are you saying I'm old?lol At least you know that us so called "Jarheads" will always have you 6! I plain old English Colonel, we will always have you back and get your ass out of any problems that you may get into. And by the way Colonel, this Marine may be old but I still have a boat load of ass kicking that I can still do. Hang in Steve and remember, one of these days we are going to have that "Cussing Contest."
