If you and I were talking face to face, your dream car was parked on the street behind us, and I had the keys for it dangling from my outstretched arm, what would you pay to have it? To drive off in it right then and there?

They had a lot of engine. mid '60s had a 429 that would really move that tank. then it was upped to 472, then 500. Monster engines.

Not very practical, but if you're gonna be a bear, be a grizzly. 1965 Shelby Daytona Coupe. Six built, price tag is in the low eight figures.

2nd fastest car I owned. Photo taken at ft. Benning Georgia. This one ran 11.5 on nitrous. I bought the car from an E-7 whose son was previous owner who died in combat

I loved this car! 11.2 in the quarter mile (all motor) engine was all chromed, interior was crushed velvet. Won awards at car shows. Down side... It ran on racing fuel and got 6mpg

Mine would be the 1969 Plymouth Barracuda with a 440 CI engine. Ironically, or maybe not, the Barracuda was the first car that I ever owned. It died a tragic death when a friend of mine wrapped it around a tree. He lived, the car wasn't quite so lucky.
