I have been lucky enough in my career to earn German Jump Wings, Chilean Jump Wings, and Canadian Jump Wings. I normally wear my German Jump Wings but I have been chasing the Spanish Jump Wings for over a decade with no success. Maybe when I get to Italy this year I can finally find a Spanish jump in the area haha

Having several foreign jump wings, the ones I enjoyed earning the most were the Korean Jump wings, as we did balloon jumps to earn them.

That would be something fun to try. I have heard of the balloon jumps but have never seen one in person.

CPT (Join to see) - It's probably one of the quietest and coolest jumps I have ever done, the next coolest was C-130 water jump chasing the zodiacs out the ramp.

I qualified for the Schutzenschnur in Silver, but alas I am an officer and can't wear it. I will make due with my Bronze EIC Pistol badge.

Mine has to be the German Marksmanship. which, oddly enough, is the only one I have. I'm pretty proud of it. It is, definitely, my favorite item on my uniform.

German Schutzensnur in Bronze and Silver. Couldn't quite master trigger control of the MG3 to get the Gold though.

I have not had the opportunity to try this one yet. Hopefully I get the chance one day, just to get the experience.

CPT (Join to see) - It is a great experience - but FYI, since you are an officer now, you are authorized to earn and accept the award, but not to wear it. At least that was the rule in the 80s.

COL Jim Kohlmann Sir, that is still a rule today. I would love the experience if I am ever in a position to do it without taking a slot from one of the troops, even if I can not wear the award on my uniform.

CPT (Join to see) - Good call - take care of the troops first! I was lucky in that we (4th Bn/16th Inf, 1 ID (Fwd)) had a German partnership unit 10 Geburtsjaeger (Mountain Troops) and we did frequent exchanges.

CPT (Join to see), I was never awarded any foreign jump wings, although I certainly would like to have been so fortunate. I will say, however, that the jumps wings depicted third from the right on the top row of your photo look amazingly like USPA jump wings, and I did get them!
