Agree. Total respect. For me, it would be the absolute honor of a lifetime to able to walk the line at the Tomb. Just once before I die.
BTW, I watched a documentary film on that unit. As I recall, there are only 300 +/- that are qualified to wear this?

The EIB I earned in Alaska in 1975 - one of only 6 soldiers in the entire Battalion (appx. 600 men) who qualified.

The Bn. crest that we had when I was with an Armor Bn. that was retired a few years after I went IRR. It was a Mailed Fist, holding a bolt of Lightening, the wording was Mailed Thunder. This was worn by those that served with the 1st BN 246th Armor.
