This story was related to me by a flight instructor during navigator flight training at Mather AFB in Sacramento, CA. We were flying T-37 "Thunder tweets" for VFR navigation training, and "Back in the day" we had Iranian officers training with us (Pre-Shaw gone days). The class ahead of mine had a class patch that included the Warner Brothers Tazmanian Devil (Tazz). During a night flight with the Iranian student, the instructor stated that everything was going just great and all of a sudden, the student started screaming in Farsi, acted panicked and suddenly, "ARMING HANDLES RAISE, TRIGGERS SQUEEZE" and the student departed the aircraft at 12,000' at night near Tulare, CA. The instructor returned to Mather sans canopy and student with an airplane that worked perfectly well, albeit a bit breezy. They found the student the next morning and he was walking with his parachute out in an onion field. The student told his story of the Devil trying to attack him, and the Air Force investigation resulted in that under very specific lighting conditions and at night, having a compound curved canopy and background instrument lighting would cause the shoulder patch on the arm closest to the center of the cockpit to appear almost as a hologram within the cockpit. Voila, how to eradicate Iranians from your life. Thus, Tazz became my favorite shoulder patch.

By far the Ranger Tab, over anything else. It distinguishes you as a leader and creates instant legitimacy in any position.

My favorite patch: 28th ID, the Bloody Bucket. Oldest division in the Army, bar none. Units that date back to Ben Franklin's Associators. And still in the middle of the shit.

I have many favorites, that I think are very Prestigious! Beginning with the Congressional Medal of Honor! However, I have none of those and feel very fortunate that I did not have to be in a situation to possibly be submitted for one..
So of the Patches, Medals and Badges I have, I would have to say the Badge I earned for an Assignment that I DID NOT WANT... My Gold Recruiter's Badge. I hated that Job, But I did my best and well It proved to me that Soldiers can Do Anything even that they dislike very very much.
