My first unit patch; the old one tiny turd (193d Inf Bde).
Called The Lost Command stationed in the US Canal Zone, it was an outstanding unit-probably the best brigade I served in during my 22 year service to country. A strange mixed unit; 2 leg battalions (one w/an airborne company-my old unit the Moatengators), a mech battalion, an aviation battalion, a 105mm towed battalion and lots of support components (usually plus sized).
We lived in the woods. I think we spent more time in the filed than in any unit except maybe the 25th ID I served in.

I would have to say that its a tie between my Expert Infantrymans Badge (EIB) and my Expert Field Medical Badge (EFMB). I got both of them on my firt try with no problems.

My Second Infantry Patch/Combat Badge, while serving under my country American Flag. In addition, also proud of my Expeditionary ribbon.

Each of these awards are a personal accomplishments to the individual who earned it. Wear it with pride. None is greater then another only to the individual.

I worked very hard to get my expert infantrymans badge. Hours of studying and training.

You have to be nominated by your peers and Soldiers...You have to earn this one, not many out there.
