I recently finished, "Angles of Attack," by Marko Kloos. Third book in his military sci-fi installment and I loved it. I've had trouble finding good reads in this genre since Ender's Game and Starship Troopers. Any books that you might recommend?

I know it is dated (and has been made into a movie), but you did say favorite not recent.

Capt Richard I P. It's a decent movie on Fascism, not in any way, shape or form on Starship Troopers or anything related. R.A.Heinlein would be spinning in his grave (and would be an excellent source of perpetual power) if he wasn't cremated and spread at sea. The movie accomplished what it was supposed to is why I give it a "decent" rating.

This is EXCELLENT! Also, if you haven't read it, check out 'The Foever War" by Joe Haldeman, which is very, very similar. I'm not sure which on was written first, but both are very good.

SGT Christopher Hamman - Heinlein was first. Haldeman is a "reply".

I've recently discovered & have thoroughly enjoyed David Drake's Hammer's Slammers series as well as Keith Laumer's Bolo series. My guilty pleasure is David Weber's Honorverse, because Honor Harrington & her treecat, Nimitz, are AWESOME. And when I want a deep story line, I'll head for my Gordon R. Dickson Dorsai books.
