Scream (1996), Movie Clip #1, "What's Your Favorite Scary Movie?"
Casey (Drew Barrymore) answers a phone call and gets more than she bargained for.
It is that time of year...when almost all movies released are scary ones. I went and saw Annabelle and here is the true story behind the real doll:

So...what is your favorite scary movie?

Ridley Scott's original Alien. First saw it when I was probably about 9 or 10. Scared the absolute crap out of me. I remember for weeks staring at my closet waiting for a face hugger or alien to come out and get me.

Oh my gosh I can't even begin to explain how the Army got me...both those things played massively important roles though of course. Like everyone else.

I am not sure if I have a favorite. Although it is not considered a scary movie, the first Jaws was really scary. I never looked at the beach (lake) the same way again.

Not a huge fan of horror movies but I love the "Friday the 13th" and "Halloween" series. Yes, I know the latter movies are corny and cheesy but the first 4-5 were pretty decent.
The worst movie for me though is "Poltergeist". I absolutely refuse to watch that one...again. I saw it in the theaters when I was in 7th grade and, to be blunt, it scared the beejesus out of me. Nope, never again will i watch it.

Favorite? Or the one that scared me the most? I am not a fan of horror movies, so I don't have a "favorite". However, the Exorcist scared the everliving piss out of me when I was a kid and I refuse to watch it this very day.

MAJ Robert (Bob) Petrarca
After the scene where her head does a 360 I could not watch another horror movie. That was like 30 or so years ago.

Poltergeist was one that really scared the you-know-what out of me as a youngster.
Clowns were forever ruined for me by "It". That damn Pennywise....

The movie "IT" was okay. The book was infinitesimally better, though, as is generally the case with Stephen King book-to-film adaptations, the exception being Stand By Me.

SGT Steve Vincent agreed. However, you are forgetting "The Shawshank Redemption" which was also a film adaptation of King's work.

True. That one slipped my mind, which actually went completely blank, as soon as I started typing. Technically speaking, The Running Man, with Ahnold, was based on a Stephen King novella. And by "based on", I mean they had the same name, and that's about it... Lol

I don't know much about scary movies, LTC (Join to see) . Well, actually, Carrie (1976) scared the bejesus out of me and was a good one.
This "scary" commercial is the tops in my opinion. Classic! And funny!!

Amityville Horror. I remember watching it as a kid, then running to bed to hide under the blankets.
