DFAC breakfast. The best spread for the lowest cost around. It's like Waffle House but with teeth.

Must agree, I love DFAC breakfasts. The rest of their meals are a hit or miss (usually a miss) but breakfast never disappoints!

SPC James Neidig PA does have that ‘Scrabble’ stuff for breakfast. I was afraid to try it, it looked too much like ‘Head Cheese’!

I always loved the SOS and still get it sometime at AMVETS post 495, Millis, MA where they have a monthly Sunday morning breakfast and it's served there. its open to anyone that want a great breakfast. I usually go back for seconds, The have a great buffet line, eggs .Pancakes, French Toast, regular toast, sausage, bacon, has browns, beans, orange juice, tomato juice, coffee, and plenty of other choices as well,. You can help Yourself and go back as many times as You want.

What is this "Army food" you speak of? Come to the Blue side. We have catered meals & waiters at our beck & call.
At least, that's what the others say of us, right?

When iwas in Air Force security police working mid shift on base, midnight chow was awesome. Worst: Grand Forks ND missile security duty 3 day shift eating at missile launch control facility. I was a fire team leader and if weather permitting we would head to nearest town to get to go orders.

LTC Ray Buenteo - I was also Air Force Security Police and the chow was good. I also did the three days at a missile LCF, Launch Control Facility at Whiteman AFB, MO and the cooks there were great ! Most my career after that was in Law Enforcement and midnight chow was great as the other meals were also.

The DFAC on FOB Kalsu Iraq during my second deployment had these chicken wings they made on Saturday that to this day I think were the best ever. They were called bite you back wings. The cook had special sauce sent from home to make them. I will say this. They were amazing but about an hour later they made your rear burn like Satan's unholy home. Yet they were so good I punished myself every Saturday to eat them.

Our cooks in Germany did a huge birthday cake once a month for every body who had a birthday that month. Chocolate on one side, swirled yellow and chocolate in the middle and yellow on the other. It wasn't grand but it felt a little like home, they decorated it and everything.
