Marines don't wear patches, name, rank, Marines. It's enough.

But if you transition to the Army from the Marines you can wear your unit patch if you were deployed. I sure they are some other refs but that the barney style version.

[~780254:LCpl Victor marines aren’t authorized to wear an SSI-FWTS when they switch over. That being said I know plenty who do wear the patch and most people don't care.
In 670-1:
(5) Personnel who served in a designated area as a civilian or a member of another Service, but were not a member of the U.S. Army during one of the specified periods are not authorized to wear the SSI-FWTS.

Thought I'd posted this already, but must have been to another similar question. 509th Bomb Wing. Unit that dropped bombs that ended WWII. Still have the ability with their current B-2 aircraft.

My combat Patch was earned on August 23, 1968 at Duc Lap Vietnam. I was in the Mike Force unit relieving the camp that had been surrounded by the NVA Army, with my fellow Green Berets and Montonyards. It was a life saving event and I will remember it always and the men who served with me and didn't come back. God bless America and the Army Special Forces.

173rd Airborne Brigade has not deployed since 2012 otherwise I would have been triple airborne. Better get my wheelchair before I retire.

I rock my 2nd Mar Div patch, as I started out as a Marine Grunt and deployed as such, wore it from the first day that I crossed over to the army. It's been disputed as to whether or not a a Marine who crosses over is authorized to do this, but as a CSM once told me "I'd like to see someone try and take it off of your arm". All in all, I've never caught any Shit about it. I would rather rock my battalion emblem (as Marine Grunts identify battalion as opposed to division) but alas, No dice

Many of the older soldiers in my Army unit were authorized to wear the 2nd Mar Div patch as part of TF Saber and the liberation of Fallujah and Ramadi.

But that CSM has a point and I don’t think anyone is gonna take it off your shoulder.
