What is your opinion on Middle Eastern Refugees, both to the US and Europe?

I am prompted to ask this because a lot of what I've heard in and around the workplace have been from people who are obviously pretty ill-informed OR are simply too caught up in being a "Warrior For Jesus" to come up with anything else other than, "MOOSLAMS R BAD." Personally today, I over heard a Sergeant First Class talking to a group of Junior Enlisted about how, "Muslims are a peaceful religion, aside for the several million that aren't" While most of the insuring conversation was unintelligible at best, there was quite a bit of, "We should just go in and start kicking down doors" and other things of that nature. Of course I feel like these responses to a statement like that are out of pure ignorance. Your average Christian will be quick to point out that those crazy death cults chugging down that Kool-aid are outliers. The same can be said of organisations like ISIS. But that's not the actual question here. I'm talking about the every day people that are attempting to flee and get into the US and Europe. Personally, I'm against it. Ethnic Arabs have, for the most part (In Europe) been extremely resistant to assimilation into the culture of the Nation they ended up in. (Just look at Sweden seriously) And before someone tries to accuse me of racism or something along those lines, my family fled Iran in the 80s when Iraq invaded. But when they got to the United States, guess what? They assimilated. Hell, my Dad ended up joining the Army later down the line. Anyways, I just wanted to know what everyone elses thoughts are on the whole refugee situation AND what they've heard their coworkers say on the matter.
