What kind of classes would you like to see a Chaplain teach for a unit other than the "regulars" (like suicide awareness)?

It would good for them to teach Sexual Harassment/Assault classes, because that falls under the treat your neighbor as yourself arena; and love your neighbor

Chaplains can't be SHARP reps, and we dint want to step on toes. The treat others with respect, however, could be a good class.

That's exactly why Chaplains need to teach such classes, because it has to do with loving thy neighbor. Most people these days don't understand that concept

SFC Harry (Billy) Tison One of our senior chaplains at BOLC was looking into teaching alongside the SHARP rep. (And for what it’s worth, I believe you’re right. Most things come down to “getting” how to treat yourself and others.)

CH (CPT) (Join to see) - biggest problem there is funding. If GORSCOM doesn't pony up, you can't really do them effectively. Cost is just too high for most programs.

Since I have been out for so long, and most of my information comes from the BS Media, How about Pure Salvation? Is that allowed again? I remember that at one time according to CNN and MSNBC, it was not, and one Navy Chaplain was up on charges for continuing to teach the Bible and actually have Altar calls in the sandbox. What is the truth?

If it’s in the tenets of the chaplain’s faith, they are allowed to teach it, just not require it for mandatory training.

Chaplains are actually advised they cannot be the unit MRT, even though we go through the course in BOLC.
OPSEC is a good idea, esp since I was prior intel.
