What luxury can't you live without while deployed?

Yep, internet as well, along with AC and refrigeration. God, I used to hate drinking bottles of warm water.

Great photo, SGT Hector Rojas, AIGA, SHA. For me, it would be my laptop and external hard drive. I had lots of music, movies, and old t.v. shows stored on my hard drive to relax me and help me fall asleep.

Music..in all forms. I have so many different mediums for music at my fingertips, but to not have music anymore would literally drive me insane. Music is my escape from the rest of the world, and sometimes that is a luxury in and of itself!!

I guess just games, for me. I normally have a computer in one form or another for playing games.

I also agree with Internet. It is something that connects us back to the world we know. I can speak to my family back home or just read the news. It takes me away from being deployed.

SGT Hector Rojas, AIGA, SHA I would have to say a shower, internet, AC, and refrigeration. Like MAJ Robert (Bob) Petrarca said, drinking warm bottles of water sucks.

Submarines don't have the luxury of Internet. We get the occasional sailor mail transmissions but that's it. Definitely need a laptop and external hard drive with plenty of entertainment on it!

Another vote for internet.
In life, I need my wife and kids, food, beer, and internet.
I would like to have a modern restroom and climate control.
You can have everything else.
