SGT Joseph Cabra - There is no discussion. He made a blatantly sexist statement and I called him out on it. Personally I think its past time that people started calling people out for their bigoted, outdated statements. He has a right to say whatever he wants, and I have a right to respond to them. The way I see it, we are far past such an antiquated, sexist point of view.

This Michael Smith is a politically correct snowflake pos. Assholes like him are what ruined the military. He is a USAF senior NCO, and when he was given his Sergeants stripes, Christmas came early for him that year. He is probably ok with trans perverts serving too.SGT Joseph Cabra

You damn skippy! These gutless, spineless bastards with their pc agenda have ruined the military. The military is not some grand social experiment. It’s only purpose for existence is to provide for the common defense of our nation. Not so that homos, trans and women can fulfill their little cos play fantasies. Breaking it down Barney/purple dinosaur simple, a military’s job is to fuck shit up, break things, kill and occupy ground.MSG Danny Mathers

Finish Afghanistan. Win, or pull out... no more marking time as is what seems to be happening now.

CMSgt (Join to see) - Absolutely with you. Not going to armchair QB the war, but at this point it just doesn't seem that there is any real strategy to either get out or win. Granted, I don't have the access to the stuff I did when I was at CENTCOM, but I am tired of seeing good soldiers die trying to help train ASF/APF that will go right back to tribalism after we leave.

SFC (Join to see) - The time to shit or get off the pot was round about 2005. We have some serious political constipation.

I would love to see a 20% reduction in the DoD budget, with a corresponding bump in the State Department. Then a 50% reduction in military engagement coupled with a corresponding bump in diplomacy.

MSG Danny Mathers Simply put, diplomacy is cheaper than war, in both dollars and blood.

Personally, I do not think ANY "ultra rich", "biased" or otherwise "axe-to-grind" person should EVER hold any public office in this country. All it does is create problems for people whether it is a class of people, a race of people, or any other thing. We need unbiased public officials who will make things better for everyone equally instead of only the rich getting ANYTHING at all.
We need new laws and regulations to balance our country, and we need to be able to fight back against real corruption instead of it getting more and more out of hand.
we need advertising agencies put on a leash, we need the press restructured to ONLY tell the truth and not just what makes the most money. We need to stop ignoring people in need, stop making people poor for profit, and stop being selective with job selections, where such selections deny properly skilled people from getting jobs based on "over qualified" stupidity, deliberate roadblocks, or based on knowing someone.
We need to stop screwing students in this country, stop screwing people with healthcare needs, and a LOT more.
This country was founded on the premise of freedom and equality, but if you ask ANY poor person, veteran, or someone of African decent... they will laugh when you say they are equal or treated fairly.
When little trumpy starts working on the real issues of this country instead of the things he is doing (regardless of the fence anyone is on regarding his conduct, policies, etc) then I will believe he is a decent human being. Until then, I will fight to have his stupid overly rich pompous self removed from office PERMANENTLY and indicted for the crimes he is VERY much guilty of.
The fact that the only issue America and its citizens care about is money, is a very telling problem this country has. And, it very much needs to be fixed. Not in a manner that makes someone rich, blasted in the press as a hero, and/or promoted either.
As for the military, as a veteran who had rather little service time, and one who saw very little while in service, plus the fact that I never deployed to combat...
1) Balance military regulations on equipment issuance, and hold units accountable who break equipment quickly
2) Ramp up soldier education on healthcare, to include nutrition and exercise knowledge so that soldiers have a true idea of what and why with the human body so they get the proper nutrition and exercise.
3) Pay more attention to soldiers needs to catch problems before they get out of hand.
4) Do not ignore the needs of military units, to include equipment needs, soldier needs, training needs, etc.
5) Do not let the military commanders and leadership single out specialty personnel (like SF) and treat them badly
6) Issue proper military equipment that is not based on "lowest bidder" crap, and allow better equipment to enter the service which is not based on some jackasses monetary recompense from substandard equipment
7) Make a better transition from military to civilian life so that military personnel to not feel or become lost after serving this country
8) Stop screwing veterans with political bullshit and give them what they deserve
I am sure I can think of more, but that is my list of opinions as per military specifics.

True, my favorite point you have is “ unbiased officials”. If we could have that I could see numerous issues being resolved.

SFC (Join to see) The problem is that EVERYONE has bias. The key is to recognizeyour bias and make conscious effort to ensure it does not influence your actions.

There really is no such thing as an unbiased elected official... and that probably goes down as far as small-town local city officials... What I would like to see most before anything else is for congress to have term limits, the same health care plans as the rest of us, and the same what I would like to see most before anything else is for our Congress to have social security as the rest of us... watch how fast they fix those and other problems!

Why did you put the bit in your question about Trump being reelected? How does that factor into the question? How does Trump's reelection change or alter my thoughts on what major military impact or change I would like to see? What does Trump have to do with it?

Bravo, you are the first one to catch that. I intentionally added Trump in to the equation. In reality he does not play a factor in what I would like to see changed. I appreciate your keen eye.

I'd like to see no transgender operations being paid by ther military. Re-enstate don't ask, don't tell. No women in combat uits except SOF & no women in Rager School. Opinions vary but I am old school and like to see the army back like it was before BHO screwed it up!

After President Donald J Trump is re-elected, I’d like to see him get more cooperation from Congress. I’d like to see him do more “Town Hall” meetings. I love those. They are very inspiring.
