RP Members, Connections, and Friends I believe there are some really outrageous nicknames that have been handed out to some of you when you served in the Military. Lets' get them out there and don't be embarrased. Please share! This is one of those Posts that just keep giving over time. RP Members keep adding your nicknames.
Don't leave us hanging - share the story behind the nickname too!!
One of my many was: "Burly" and when I was a PFC/E-3 it was "Horse Collar!" Others I can't repeat from Basic Training - use your imagination!

It was arndog or arndogie on my first submarine. Then at IMF Bangor it was Amtrak for the way I tried to play basket ball. It was getting more Politically Correct (PC) the last few years I was in the Navy. It was hello Petty Officer Arnold if they knew me and just hello Petty Oficer if someone just walked by me. I missed when no one knew my name onboard unless they looked at my name tag/shirt.

Before we went to the Gulf in '91 my track driver gave everyone in the squad nicknames, mine was Moose just because of my size, at the time I was 6' 5" 250 pounds. My drivers nickname was Mad Dog, but we called him Pissed Puppy.
I was known as Jay for over 20 years, that's all my former in laws knew me as. Even when I got married the first time they were surprised Jay wasn't my real name.
During my last tour being Route Clearance and traveling throughout Iraq using our Task Force callsign of Pathfinder, and company callsign of Wolf, we got to be known by those. Both had good reputations throughout the areas we traveled.

Short legs. By my buddies in the VFW just because I'm 5.9 and most of them are 6.2 plus. Nothing I can't handle made part of my email address short legs. One of the small pluses most of us got out of are enlistment was how to take it and how to give it right back. Comradery, without getting your feelings hurt like some snow flake.

The Sgt's used to call me Pepe. Could not pronounce my last name, so they made me Pepe La Pew.

From basic training onward, I've always been called Twitch, Blink, or Tweak. I have Tourettes, and I have facial spasms regularly, mostly of the eyes and nose.

I had machine gun, but was never assigned to carry one. Another one was Johnny Cage. Was with a mitt team and our call signs were mortal kombat based. I wore shades all the time and was from California
