What non-issued luxury item would you take to the field ?

I was with a team that would take a small propane stove and a big pot, which we used to make MRE gumbo. Dam that was good and the best part we did not need toilet paper for days.

Seriously, if you go to sea on a submarine that may never see the light of day, with the exception of periscope liberty, for up to three months, luxury items aren't what comes to mind first. Toothpaste and razors and the small things you need become very important when there is no source for replacement.

Every soldier should know what to take. TP, Snaks, your laptop w some movies. that is the basic, but the must important will be Information...(what the supply SGT likes)... he will maintain my supplies running............LOL.

I took the TP and trail mix I would make it my self back in the late 70 to med 80's they didn't have any in the stores
