PO1 (Join to see) - It is a funny thing to be joining at an age when may are looking closely at retirement! Ha, ha. It's particularly strange when one is older than even their senior drill sergeants as I was! And while I wouldn't say I often out performed many of the young pups as your guy did, I certainly managed to hold my own, and I'm okay with that. No matter what, I can forever say I graduated from the US Army's Infantry OSUT in my mid/late 30's whereas--perhaps sadly--many people in this country couldn't do that regardless of their age!
(But dang I'm starting to feel my age these days! LMAO!!) :-)

SGT Dave Tracy - Nah, you're still young at heart. I was like a year, if that, younger than one of my Petty Officers; he was from the same state as me and considered me one of his "favorite recruits." Yeah, being a favorite isn't a good thing, lol.
He made me MA but wanted me to be Staff on the QD but I failed my 2nd "PRT" because the system that was recording, froze and didn't record my time. But it showed on the screen that I was a 13:15 for my run.

Glad to see another "mature" person join when older. I turned 35 yesterday and am headed to Ft Sill next month.
