For example when I worked in the Galley my supervisor sent me on a task to get the key to the room where the canned air and Bacon stretcher were kept. I focused on the canned air not really paying attention to the Bacon Stretcher until one until the MSC told me to listen to myself and think about what I was asking for!!

We were in Grafvineire training area in Germany on the O.P Well it was early Morning and the impact area was fog in so no calling fire that morning . We had a new Private and was joking around about sending him down to range control to turn on the range fans to blow the fog off the impact area! Well we were busy with the tracks when Range control call us to inform us that or E.M. showed up there and the fans were out of order at that time! We had a good laugh till the B.C. brought him back needless to say He was not amused!!

Before HMMWV had spare tires. In 1996 while stationed in 102 MI BN 2ID Korea, I sent this Private to PMCs all the HMMWVs in the compound (only 5) and if there is no spare tire, write it up on the 2404 and go to the Motor Pool to request the tires. I told him to see SSG So and so. That SSG was expecting him. However, that Private got intercepted by a 1st LT (OIC of Motorpool) and chewed that Private out. I was on Bn duty that day and I saw that Private later and told me what happened. We both laughed and felt bad for him. He was of age and I told him that I will by him a beer and welcome to Korea.

As a Cook School instructor we'd send students to get the "Sky Hook" to hold the dumpster lid open. Or if they broke the yoke on an over easy egg, we'd point out that they were left handed and had a right handed food turner. We food service folks had our share of pranksters.

McNair Barracks Berlin. Sending the new arrivals from one platoon and company to the next to get the key to the clock tower and wind the clock. If you were in Berlin, you know.
