What regulation covers MUTAs (Multiple Unit Training Assembly). I'm at 46 and have to drill 3 days this weekend. Do you only get paid for 48?

I've done a MUTA 10 this year with my unit. I got paid for all 5 days and was credited for 10 UTAs...I'm in an instructor unit and we are spread across the country so our AT (which covers the whole summer in 2 week increments) doesn't give us time to assemble as a unit

yes only get paid for 48 total (USAR PAM 37-1), but there are other ways to pay you if the funds are available. ATA or RMA days can be used to pay you or you can just do the one day for points only.

yeah i was pretty sure on that, but prior approval for rma ect has to be given from my understanding. Yeah i defiantly don't need the points and December i am mobilizing for the year.

StY for the full 2 plus years and everyone of those points will come in handy! I saved every 1380 I ever received many that were for points only. In the 90s I didn't have the luxury of money for pay so along with God and Country time I made sure I signed off on my Soldiers 1380s and that I also had mine signed and processed. We used to have an even lower points cap. Mobilization may only last a part of your reserve career! Take care of you Soldiers and yourself in the process!

I have nothing at all to contribute to this thread, but I am enthralled with the knowledge there is a term known as Muta....I feel deprived having not known and used this word or acronym in my many years of service... ...for those of us unwashed and uneducated.....What the heck is a Muta?
I dont know what it is, but I want one darn it...

MUTA: Military Unit Training Assembly. This is an Army Reserve term that means, one UTA, or 4-hour training period. A regular Army Reserve drill day has 2 UTAs, or 2 days of actual military pay per drill day. This is to incentivize reserve service instead of active service.
People coming from Active Duty/Regular Army don't understand this. Yes, for one day- Reservists (and National Guard personnel) get two days of pay for 8 hours.

LTC (Join to see) - Sir, MUTA stands for Multiple Unit Training Assembly and this applies to the Reserve Component not specific to the United States Army Reserve.
