What's keeping you up at night? And how are you responding to this?

Pain, my experience with the VA so far, memories of some particular events in Afghanistan, this upcoming school semester and work balance, and more pain.

I have knee pain a lot so I stretch in the mornings and it has helped. And as a man who has earned 2 Masters degrees the grind is real my friend! You got this! See you at the finish line!

I have no problem getting to sleep, my normal thing is to read for a while, then turn out the lights and go to sleep.

PO1 Ricky Allen I do my virtual visit to Ohio. Actually I had to do it last night and fell asleep before virtually departing the Columbus airport.

SP5 Jim Curry Guess so, White Cross Hospital on North High Street has been demolished to make more room for Ohio State University. I used to walk to Mirror Lake on campus when it had a terrible aroma in 1943.

I wake up every hour on the hour all night long, every night. I am still on watch. All the time, every day, every minute of every hour, forever....and I wasn't an 11bravo

What I would recommend is some soundscape music. Let your mind tune into something different other than your thoughts - It works for me. Stood watch on ships for years.

Sorry doesn't work. Really bad PTSD, MST and idiots that think slamming stuff on the ground at stores and the like is cute to watch me jump out of my skin, Then diss me when I ask them to stop due to PTSD and they tell me you don't have PTSD, women don't go into war

Sp4 Byron Skinner,
I would like to say my frisky wife, but she has been taken from me because after 55 years I no longer can care of her, any more, my son managed to have her put into a residential care home so he and his wife can rob all of her assets which came to over a million dollars, they could’t wait for her to die, her crime was she is living to long. He wasn’t lucky when she got the coronavirus 19 in May, a week in ICU on a ventilator and the bastards would even for two week tell me if she was dead or alive. she survives but still is not 100%. The things listed above none of those bother me.
I go to bed alone (that bothers me) about 0200 and get up about 0630. Both of us are 73 and have known each other since we were 17 and Seniors in High School. But She’s not their.

Wow this is a lot. Just know she is there with you in Spirit. Reflect on your memories. As we enter into this upcoming Fall season start now on figuring out where you will be for the rest of the year. Nov-Dec. can be very hard, considering these circumstances. But don't be alone.
