I ride my bike as often as possible and keep in contact with my inner circle multiple times a week. There is always someone that knows how I’m feeling and those that I trust that are nearby.

Meditate a few times a day. Exercise, eat well, reduce anxious thoughts which reduces stress.

In retirement, I maintain my mental health by ensuring a healthy and nutritious diet that excludes alcohol, which goes a long way to maintaining a healthy sleep pattern. I arise early, "SSSS", eat a good breakfast, and walk in the cool of the morning, as living in the south, Augusta, GA, during summer this is important.

I ensure I get at least 7 hours of sleep every night and write in my journal every day. Quality sleep starts about an hour BEFORE climbing into bed by turning off the TV, computer, tablet, and/or smartphone then warming up to a physical (real paper) book. This is also a great time to do some light meditation and journaling. Avoid drinking water about 30 minutes out from dream time so you can sleep through the night. Also... no alcohol or large meals 2 hours prior to bedtime.

I do regular psychology and therapy appointments; in addition to doing regular meditation/personal time...

After retirement wasn't doing much of anything, have always been an avid reader so I delved into some of my books that I read and reread them to relax. Also did some fishingin the local rivers. I also help where I can with my daughter & son-in-laws resturant. But I think the biggest help was searching out a local Veterans coffeehouse and meeting with the Vets every week.
