Well in the Marines I learned how to shoot and it's the best skill I can think of to have.

SSgt Chuck “Gunz” Gundlach USMC Ret., MBA - Absolutely correct. Never handled a weapon before the Corps, so it was a life changing experience for me. Being able to line up my sights and hit the target was an amazing feeling. You are correct though, a dirty weapon can only work so well and improper handling might as well be handing it to the enemy.
