I would have to say air traffic control, one of the only jobs in the military where enlisted controllers get to tell Officer pilots, what to do and how to do it with no questions asked

as far as the Marines... I'd have to say Fleet Anti-Terrorism Security Team. I came into the Corps with that Secondary MOS and it was the best unit I have been in. really because they build an entire platoon out of new joins (except for a few holdovers to make up leaders and teachers). This makes for a very close group because there is no "old Corps" marines to put you down and you all learn the same things at the same time. the training was amazing (everything from Basic Security Guard School to Advanced Urban Combat School and Non-lethal Combat) it was the best mix of infantry skills and high speed - low drag skills to make it really fun and interesting.

I got there in 1999...There were only 2 FASTs at the time...Norfolk and Yorktown...I went to Aden, Yemen with 4th PLT when the USS Cole got bombed...my CO and Plt SGT are now retired...my one squad leader is now a Capt in MARSOC and my other squad leader became a Green Beret (and got out this year). FAST definitely put me on the path to success! Best of luck Corporal!

Any Command Position in the Field Artillery. It is so because you cannot be blessed with a finer group of men and women to lead than those that have chosen the Field Artillery for an MOS.

Made friends with a bunch of CA professionals while working as a contractor at Fort Dix, NJ (now JB MDL). They are some really good people for sure. Best of luck!

For me, it would definitely be flying, pretty much no matter what the flying was. Of course, it is also very stressful, which is why it pays the big bucks.

Best job I ever saw was in Panama and an E-5 in shorts, t-shirt and boonie hat drove a little boat around the guys going through Jungle Warfare class while they were doing their poncho raft swim test around the lagoon. I know when I was swimming across I wondered to myself "How the hell do I get that job?"

The next one. It’s like duty stations, the next one will be the best until you get there.
