Old boots
Yes, I wore the same pair of boots for just over 3 years before they started 'crumbling' from the sole. They were Bates 922 edition, same that SEAL trainees wear, great for running too, and super comfortable, especially when I had to put chases on foot. I still miss them.

Anyone beat my record? I'll give you a thumbs up!

I wish I had grandpa's jump boots! I rotated them quite a bit so I'm not too sure. At least 2 years.....probably more.

I'm wearing the same winter boots from my first Afghan tour in '08. I will never wear a non winter boot again.

I wore a pair of cheap black combat boots bought from the surplus store (because I likes the green canvas fabric and lightweight feel of the boot) until the sole literally came off...from the front, lol

I wore my flight deck boots for about 5 years total.  3 years on the deck and kept them for a couple more years after my enlistment.

Man, those boots tore my feet up!! Working in V-2 Division and being on deck for 22 hours every day out to sea left my feet jacked up for months. Took me a long time to heal after my enlistment. And those black, wool socks? OMG, it made it worse! I had those flight deck boots up until a few years ago when I lost my Seabag/Dufflebag. :(

Yeah I had the worst callouses on the ball of my feet from where the steel toe part met the leather...I hated those boots, I would have shot them off the catapult when I left but I was TAD to the Security Div. and wasn't able to. I'm glad to see another "Mission Division" shipmate here!

I inherited a pair of jungle boots that had three tours (39 months) on them. Salty gear was always cool. I put about another nine months on them and had planned to take them home, but they wouldn't let me. Those boots were BROKEN IN!

I still have my winter boots from basic in 2008. I only stopped wearing them post deployment in 2012. Now I've retired them to my closet and replaced them with new issued winter boots.

Noooo, you can't say that!! I don't mind them recycled into tires or running track, but landfill?? There should be a US code against that, sir!
