My favorite spot is near Ocala, Florida in a little town called Salt Springs. About 10 miles north is a Marine Corps of Engineers water dam called Rodman Dam which holds back Rodman Reservoir. On the bottom side of the dam all the catfish gather there in the spring trying to spawn farther up the river. They get stopped by the structure, so they collect there. One blue moon (literally) I filled two coolers with catfish. On that day, one cast brought in a 13 pounder. Caught it on the little shad caught with a cast net over by the boat ramp. The catfish follow these bait fish up the river to the dam.... Now I live in Oregon a whole new type of fishing here. And that is also the reason i am willing to give that favorite fishing spot away. I do not live there any more. (-;

Solomons Island, Maryland

I love fishing at Port Canaveral in the Space Coast of Florida. Great fish in the area that the ships dock. It's the channel that the ships come in from the ocean and if I wanted to fish in the ocean I only have to go about 1000 feet or so and I will be in the ocean. This is a picture of my 19in 7lb sail catfish that I caught in that channel.
