What's your favorite "military memorial?"

There are several that I have visited over the years. But one where you not only can touch history but remember the sacrifices made, not only in one war but three is Battleship Cove in Fall River Mass. http://www.battleshipcove.com/ The Battleship Massachusetts is not only a memorial to WWII Vets across the country to on board is Memorial to all those that served from the State of Massachusetts that died during the war. The Destroyer Joseph P. Kennedy is a memorial to both Korean and Vietnam with the same type of Memorials on board. The Submarine Lionfish is for those that gave their lives in the Silent Service. And Two PT Boats for those that served on them and sacrificed their lives as well as being the type of ship piloted by the Future President John F. Kennedy.&nbsp; <br><br>Another Memorial is at my High School where I graduated from. It lists all those from Manchester, CT that fought in WWII. <br><br>The Bunker Hill Monument and the USS Constitution, are other memorials in Boston Mass. that are dedicated to the Revolutionary War battle and the War of 1812. Along with the Vietnam Memorial. <br><br>There are others and some have already been mentioned. I really have not had the chance to check too many out. But I did like the museum at FT Knox. They had a lot of interesting things from wars past and present. I had a really good time there with the family.

This one of the memorial's dedicated to the 2ID for their service in Korea.&nbsp; This is up by what they call Freedom Bridge near the DMZ....&nbsp; This picture was taken 2000, last time I was in Korea.&nbsp; First time was 1983.....&nbsp; Those are my sons, the one on the left just got out after 6 years in the Army with one tour in Afghanistan.....&nbsp; He was Infantry.....<br>

But I will tell you that my least favorite one is the Air Force memorial in DC, its just so plain and doesn't do the Air Force justice.

There are so many that people do not even know exists, for example the Vietnam dog tag ceiling or the&nbsp;WWII paratrooper memorial in Oklahoma.&nbsp;

There are alot of great military memorials all over our great country. I have seen only a few from DC to Maine. Since I found it last year, I've loved the Armed Forces Memorial in Norfolk, VA. &nbsp;It's kind of hidden along the back edge of Town Point Park. &nbsp;There are 20 or so brass sheets of papers that look like they're blowing across the ground with excerpts from letters written home from wars (Revolution - present).<div><br></div>
