So, maybe you had one cut out and posted in your workspace, on your refrigerator, garage, or even in your home office. Maybe it reminded you of a situation or past event; some are works of art in their own right, some are astute military or political commentary, and others are entertaining or just plain fun. Some may speak to a particular point in history, or accurately reflect your thoughts or service. Whatever 'it' is please feel free to share your favorites, and if you can't find the one you're looking for, no problem... just provide your best description, and we'll all help locate it! It could've been an old classic, something more realistic or modern, a non-military comic that addressed military subject matter/somehow relatable to the military experience, or something different altogether or that no one's seen before. Beetle Bailey but invariably the cartoon vexed because he (Beetle) was the Lucy Ball of the military.   Kind of felt sorry for him.    He was Gilligan in fatigues.

I don’t know what it is about Drill Instructors, but for me they’re an endless well-spring of humor. Drill Instructors themselves are comical without even trying, they often become caricatures of them...

The shirt-stays are easily the most confusing and annoying uniform-related item you can find in a Marine’s closet. I’m sure most Marines had never actually dealt with them prior to enlisting, much like myself, so when I found myself confronted with the elastic straps I really had no idea what to do. The drill instructors give you a demo in bootcamp, but everyone seems to have their own way of wrapping them around their legs (or not at all)....

I skedaddled
Political cartoon following the first battle of Manassas in 1861. The Union Retreat was labeled "The great skedaddle."  I like the fourth fellow on the fence.
