I get a couple bottles of soda, some snacks, my chair and head to my woods where there is nobody else to disturb me. I think about what is going on and see if I can make sense of it then make a decision on how to handle the problem. If all else fails, I call one my high school buddy in Wisconsin and talk about the good old days. Usually when I finish the call, I'm in a much better place mentally.

sitting on the tractor seat for 5 or 6hrs is just about as relaxing if everything is going good

It used to be exercise, but mostly it's relaxing in a screened in gazebo I have. Keeps the bugs out and lets me 'commune' with nature.
After that, like Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth I leave it to my wife to keep me in check.

I build LEGO sets; it keeps me concentrated on a mission to complete the LEGO for a few hours a day. The only thing that runs through my mind during building LEGO sets is just LEGO's.

Sgt Sheri Lynn - I usually buy at the; BX or NEX when they are on sale and
spend $50 free shipping. I like the Harry Potter series and castles but there should be a theme you like.

That’s awesome. I haven’t thought about my Lego sets I’ve yet to work on since I made my final move. I’m still adjusting to a slower pace in life. Thank you for your comment. I’ll have to practice this again.

I get at least one TBI a year. That tends to reset things.
On a serious note, I try to take a vacation twice a year. During the autumn I go exploring. Grand canyon, French Quarter, Fiji, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, Arctic cruise, etc. This helps some. But in the spring, I go... nowhere. I take a week off, spend 3 days catching up on the honeydo list. The other 6 days (9 days counting weekend before and after) I do nothing. Binge watch TV. Spend time at home with wife playing board games. At least one day when I only leave bed to use restroom. Sleep at LEAST 10 hours every day. Probably a massage. Maybe the chiropractor. Just a total self-centered "me week." (And I give my wife her own "me week" within a couple weeks before or after mine, depending on her work schedule.)
Autumn let's me re-connect with the wider world. Spring helps me re-connect with myself.

Have a small farm and working with my animals is the best thing that has happen to me in a long time. Does my mental health reset everyday.

I live in a rural environment and have quite a few trees on my land. Once they've either fallen or been taken down, my release is to finish taking out the stumps with my ax and then dig out the stumps. Besides this, I have three gardens I maintain along with the creatures that often visit the area. My release comes through hard physical work, which I thoroughly enjoy.
