What should be done if the President is mentally ill?

If the man at the top may be unstable - then the White House is likely to exhibit some instability - as well as some efforts by the White House staff - who are normal infighters - to undermine and replace the man at the top. The problem, however, is how to accomplish regime change (the replacement of a mentally unstable incumbent with another member of the ruling political party) within the very strict confines of the United States Constitution - and within the constraint of maintaining the full faith and confidence of the citizens. Time to bring Mike Pence up to bat.

Cpl Craig Marton - That's 100% true for the half that know the truth but don't want to admit. The other half which are the indoctrinated students or recent students do actually believe the rhetoric and need to be deprogrammed.

What the left is doing is confuse policy disagreements with sanity. Its normal for different people to research issues and come to different conclusions. Its based on literally billions of variables including different backgrounds, experience, education, mental capacity, intuition, empathy, you name it. Only a child believes that everyone who comes to a conclusion that is different than theirs is "Insane".

we are all "mentally ill" if you follow the new standards. I am a little tired of the doctors and pharmaceutical companies pushing this new definition of "mental illness" to line pockets. Just look at the amount of children who are considered mentally ill from just a decade ago and tell me you don't see a problem. If a kid runs around and burns energy his/she is over hyper and has ADD/ADHD or some other form of mental illness, how about the diagnosis of his/she is just a kid and they will mature and grow out of their childlike demeanor. Oh no! lets just shove drugs down their throats and change their mental state and really make them mentally ill. Trust me I have done my research and I find it to be asinine at best.

MCPO Roger Collins - you are correct it is actually. I looked into that before as why it is not listed and diagnosed, what I found was the it could be used as a means to commit crimes and get off on claiming mental illness. I can see and agree with both arguments on if it is listed as a mental illness. Great comment.

As the parent of two ADHD children, I can assure it does exist. I can also assure you that the causes exist. And the cures. Margarine is two steps away from being paint and we feed this to our kids. You are correct that what you and I got an ass-beating for as kids is now a label, but not 100% of everything. If you chemically examine what we mostly eat today, its no wonder there are tons more "issues" and "problems" today than what you and I faced as kids.

Having positions that you disagree with is not a determinate of mental illness. Perhaps we can get him for verbalizing his opinions instead of hiding his thoughts behind polititalk? I've often heard that the line between a medal and a section 8 discharge is very narrow. The constitution provides for the Vice-President to assume the office should the President become incapable of the responsibilities of his office, I would question anyone's complaint who claimed Trump as incompetent after less than a month in office where he has been fulfilling the promises he made to the electorate who placed him there.

Donald Trump is the nightmare of the political establishment, an outsider who doesn't need any money from a corrupt political machine. Both the Republicans and Democrats in Washington are crony capitalists and they want to keep themselves fat, rich, and happy. BTW, it's time you learned what most people capable of critical thinking known, newspapers like the NY Times, LA Times, and the Washington Post have liberal agendas.

SSgt Christopher Brose - My group works for USDOS INR - not one of the technical surveillance agencies - and while some colleagues may be privy to routine intercepts of russian embassy personnel communications - some of which apparently involve Flynn - to my knowledge none of my colleagues were involved in the leaks. I personally would look beyond the agencies to the political consumers of intercepts for sources of the leaks - which appear to be politically motivated in a manner that is not characteristic of agency personnel. I would not assume the agencies were involved. I would also not make any assumptions about my political orientation - I am a strict pragmatist who will work with whoever and do whatever is necessary to ensure the security of our country. 1LT Sandy Annala - Your political orientation is irrelevant. The fact is that you are outspoken about your opinion that you think President Trump is unfit for office and you want to see him removed. Whether other people share your opinion of the President's fitness or they have some other reason for wanting him gone or at least wanting to cause problems for him, the fact is that someone with access to the information leaked it to the press. Multiple someones.

SSgt Christopher Brose - Precisely my point. My political orientation is irrelevant to my belief it is time to bring Pence up to bat. I would start looking at the political consumers of technical surveillance intercepts - not the originating agencies. Flynn's leaks are far too narrowly focused to be agency staff - look to the politicians, Warmest Regards, Sandy :)
