What should the Army posts that are currently named after Confederate generals be renamed?

As part of the FY 2021 NDAA, there are 10 U.S. Army posts, currently named after men who were Confederate generals during the Civil War, which are required to be renamed by the end of 2023.
The posts being renamed are:
Camp Beauregard, LA
Fort Polk, LA
Fort Benning, GA
Fort Gordon, GA
Fort Bragg, NC
Fort A.P. Hill, VA
Fort Lee, VA
Fort Pickett, VA
Fort Rucker, AL
Fort Hood, TX
This post is not to debate the merits of whether or not they should be renamed (it's happening). I'm curious as to what you think the specific posts should be renamed and why?

What ever they are renamed, chose carefully because you know somebody will get offended.

I am going to go there...after famous WO's what else? Seriously, MOH winners, famous soldiers of the past. Not a single politician in the mix.

I personally think Ft. Rucker should be named after CW4 Michael Novosel. MoH recipient and famous WO... checks two blocks
Quick Bio:
1941 - Enlisted Army Air Corps
1942 - Earned his wings / B-29 Pilot
1945 - Combat in the Pacific / Flew in the formation flight over Tokyo Bay when the Japanese surrendered
1947 - Transitioned to USAF when the service was created
1949 - Transition to Air Force Reserve
195? - 1953 - Back to Active Duty USAF / Korean War
1953 - Back to USAF Reserve
1955 - Promoted to LTC
1963 - Tried to transition back to Active Duty USAF to fight in Vietnam, but no LTC positions available / Resigned commission and joined the Army to fly MEDEVAC
Two tours in Vietnam War - Flew 2,543 missions extracting 5,589 wounded personnel including his son who had been shot down. (The next week his son extracted him after being shot down)
1969 - Actions for which he would receive the MOH.
1985 - Retired as a CW4 and the last WWII aviator still on active duty. Retired with 12,400 hours / 2,038 combat hours.

Agreed. Then rename Novosel Blvd. after one of the enlisted aviation MOH recipients.
Alvin York has a VA Hospital, but I think he is definitely worthy of an Army base.
I am also very surprised we don't have anything named after Audie Murphy (aside from SAMC).
And if part of the impetus is to attempt to "be better" regarding historic racism, maybe renaming Fort Bragg to Fort Robinson after the first black CG of the 82nd and first black 4-star in the Army.
I would say one for SMA McKinney, as well, but.... the way his career ended isn't something we really want to highlight or glorify.

MAJ Ronnie Reams
Not remember him, was he disaster like Woolridge? Although when he ran the Long Binh club system, for full disclosure, I had some good dealings with him at Cholon Docks. When I found he was raking $50k, back when that was real money, a year off the club system, I lost all respect. Moonlight requisitioning* is one thing, but stealing is another.
* Moving guvmernt property from one UIC to another, but leaving it with the Army, not in your pocket.

MAJ Ronnie Reams SMA McKinney was fired from the SMA position and left the Army as a MSG due to sexual improprieties

What name would represent the United States of America?
Everyone wants to rename things that are offensive, isn't the United States of America offensive?

United States and Commonwealths of America.... since technically four of our states are actually Commonwealths.

Good question. It never offended me until some told me it should, and failed. That's one for thought, but I see History as written, regardless of the effects. We need to nurture it and learn.

Fort Bragg should be renamed for General Ridgeway. XVIIIth Airborne Corps Commander at Normandy, UN Commander in Korea. An AIRBORNE HERO

How about generals, other officers and such who took part in the WW2 struggle against totalitarian fascism and the Cold War struggle against totalitarian Communism?

Why waste money renaming posts just to make elitist progressives feel better?

Forts Crybaby, Snowflake, Milksop, Wimpy, Lightloafers, and Inguina come to mind. Sadly, we just might see some of these. My Christ, these posts were named after men of accomplishment. Renaming them won't erase history, no matter how much the snowflakes, milksops or crybabies try.

I would rename the posts after servicemembers born or resided within the state prior to their death who were awarded Distinguished Service Cross or above.

How about not trying to change history. It is what it is whether good ,bad or indifferent. Changing names is not going to change history. I get some people are offended but if I changed everything that offended me who knows where the hell I would be.
