Just like with ACA - "you want know what's in the Bill until you sign it" - the same applies to your vote. Time will tell. Not much will change at your level. Unit morale falls on your leaders. They set the tone.

On that note, If you are retired and have Tricare for life, how does that effect you with the up coming requirement to start an allotment to begin paying for your health care?

CPO Houg,
Will you so be collecting social security now/soon? if so, upon your complete retirement from the work force, you will no longer have to pay for Tricare for life, they will automatically stop your allotment payments, or, that's the way it suppose to run. The Social Security/Medicare system are inter-linked with the Tricare for life system. So with that being said. If your getting ready to collect SSI everything should be resolved. If deductions are still being taken, contact Tricare for life and they will refund any/all payments deducted. I hope this is helpful...All the best :-) .

I'm curious why, since everyone is saying that Republicans love the military and Democrats don't and everything, and not trying to start a political discussion, I have been retired for 5 years and not had to pay...that I am aware of. Now under a republican, Take who it is out of it, I have to start paying for my Tricare.

You can expect all soldiers to pay a $200 tax to be issued their firearm. Everyone's pay will be the same regardless of rank. Girls will be allowed in the boys bathrooms and boys won't be allowed in any bathroom. Everyone in the military will be issued one bullet and they must keep it in the front breast pocket. Everyone who did NOT vote for President Elect Biden, will have permanent KP duty.

PFC Joe Fugo - I'm not sore brother and like I said, I just don't like calling the voters (for either side) names. Call the politicians names, not we the people. I'm not a dem or rep either....... so no, I'm not upset about the election, disappointed maybe.... We just need to stop attacking voters which ever side they are on.....

Having said that, I do appreciate that your just trying to have some fun.... ok, I get it. Happy New Year brother...!

They should expect to show up and do their jobs, and follow their oath to support the constitution and obey the lawful orders of the president and the officers appointed over them. Just as we have done under literally every other president.

Life goes on. The Caissons go rolling along. I served through Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, & Bush. Except for the effect on the budget, the Army is a huge bureaucracy that is almost blind to who is in the White House. (And that is as it should be.)

Field day on Thursday.
Fish at the chow hall on Fridays.
Payday on the 1st and 15th.
PS/1SG, etc., is an asshole
Married SMs have it so much better than guys living in the barracks
Strippers only want your money
Anybody can get 24% credit to buy a car they can't afford
Basically, for the average Joe, nothing will change.

You can expect no changes in your day to day jobs.
You can expect more respect from your commander and chief IF after all the legal mumble jumble is finished
You can expect more rumors and hear say from all kinds of sources.
You can expect that and the end of the day, you will still be a member of the United States of America and a "PROUD" member of your unit.
Keep the faith brother.

Much the same as the Clintons and Obamas, Joe Biden, I believe, was (is) a lackie for Obama and his disrespect for the military, and will be unwilling to support our military as a true Commander and Chief. Our troops should expect reluctant support from Biden and Harris.
