What suggestions do you have for renaming DoD installations honoring Confederate officers?

1. Fort AOC 6. Fort Epstein
2. Fort Pelosi 7. Fort Cuomo
3. Fort Obama 8. Fort Putin
4. Fort Hillary 9. Fort Schiff
5. Fort Comey 10. Fort Taliban

That'll make the all the "Woke" folks real happy and we won't hear about changing historical names ever again.

My suggestion is the pansy asses just leave them alone n not change their names unless the all become Fort General Lee

Well Fort Lee was named after revolutionary general Charles Lee so I’d say we should rename it to Fort Lee.

Every time I went back to Iraq of AFG all the bases had been renamed, I don't know why this is such a big deal and why people are holding onto names of bases that were a mistake from the beginning. The name is not what made Bragg of Hood or Rucker a great place to be stationed, it was the units and the people. Changing the name will not change that, the base, or magically clean out the strip clubs and pawn shops that line the gate roads, but it can recognize some amazing, and more modern badass heroes! And move the focus from failed generals to more decorated NCOs

- Fort Rucker - Ft. Crandall (Bruce Perry Crandall)
- Fort Benning - Ft Plumley (CSM Basil L. Plumley)
- Fort Gordon - Ft Bellavia (Army Staff Sgt. David Bellavia)
- Fort Hood - Ft. Benevidez (Master Sergeant Roy Benavidez)

This is an absolute waste of taxpayer money and a continuing sign of how WOKE our government and military are becoming. We cannot erase history.

We need to look at how they do it in Africa and the middle east. They often destroy and rename institutions and landmarks when a new regime comes into power. Every country that has done this is economically devastated so there are probably a lot of under employed historians and social anthropologists available for hire as consultants.

If this is a real thing I am embarrassed for our military. You can't erase history! It is in the past, learn from mistakes and move on

Change Fort Rucker to Fort (Hamilton) Howze (the father of helicopter-focused Army Aviation)
Change Fort Benning to Fort (Omar) Bradley (WWII 5-star General of the Army)
Change Fort Gordon to Fort (William O.) Wooldridge (first Sergeant Major of the Army)
Change Fort Hood to Fort (Roy) Benavidez (there's already a big movement for this here in Texas)
Change Fort Polk to Fort (George S.) Patton (I could also see Fort Irwin renamed as Fort Patton)
Change Fort A.P. Hill to Fort (Douglas) MacArthur (WWII 5-star General of the Army)
Change Fort Belvoir to Fort (George C.) Marshall (WWII 5-star General of the Army)
Change Fort Lee to Fort (Dwight D.) Eisenhower (WWII 5-star General of the Army)
Change Fort Pickett to Fort (John J.) Pershing (WWI General of the Armies)

Our 5-Star Generals (except for Hap Arnold, who transferred to the Air Force), any Medal of Honor recipients, or other historically significant Generals or senior NCOs from the 20th century would be good options.

Doesn't matter what we decide to name them. At the rate we're going with all of this, the Chinese or Russians are going to change the name to whatever THEY want it to be. Chances are, back when most of you were in Basic or OCS, you didn't give a rodent's rump who it was named after years before, or years after. Til now. Ask yourself why.
