Doesn't matter if you agree with this move or not - it's been directed and it's happening. What are your suggestions for renaming the following bases?

In 1929 the United States government recognized soldiers of the Confederacy as American veterans. The current woke trend toward re-writing, erasing or distaining any part of American history that wouldn't be popular in the Berkley faculty lounge is disgraceful. They should leave well enough alone.

How about we continue to Honor these men and leave the names of these Bases alone. People need to quit this PC bullshit. Times were different then.

I stand by my suggestion that we leave history alone, which includes renaming bases in the name of “political correctness."

Name them after Medal of Honor awardees and not after people who attacked the United States. I understand nostalgia, but we have had thousands of Soldiers that are worthy of that honor that bore true faith and allehiance to our country.

My suggestion is to trash can the whole idea! The move is completely political and certainly hypocritical. The "offensive" Confederate names HAVE to be changed because they are supposedly racist, while doing NOTHING about the name of the racist organization that was the glue holding all of the racism together - Democratic Party. There are some that will say the Democratic Party has changed and does not represent what it did in the past. The same thing can be said for Ft. Bragg, Ft. Benning, etc...

IF FOR NO OTHER REASON, THINK OF THE COSTS, IN THESE DAYS OF EVER TIGHTING BUDGETS, OF CHANGING SIGNS, STREET SIGNS, UPDATEING MAPS DOWN TO EVERY LETTERHEAD THAT WOULD HAVE TO BE SCRAPPED AND NEW ONES PRODUCED AND THE LIST GOES ON. AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER FEEL GOOD NAME CHANGES BEING PUSHED BY THE PRESENT ADMINISTRATION !

I think that's what the Pentagon should be renamed to. Pull down the Branch flags and just hang that woke flag in front. It will save the military branches a lot of money in individual flags, LOL.
