I was born at Fort Benning, GA, nearly 74 years ago. I wish they wouldn't rename it. How am I to answer when asked where I was born?

Why do people feel that our history needs to be wiped out? This is ridiculous. Leave the names of these military installation alone. I am from the Killeen-Fort Hood area and it will always be FORT HOOD regardless.

Current living Medal of Honor awardees born on that post or that city or that state. This ensures ownership by current warriors and several hundred years of honor for that family of the United States Army.

As usual the answer is to compromise:
- Fort the North Can't Bragg Anymore
- Fort Darius Rucker
- Fort Benning the Knee
- Fort Gordon Lightfoot
- Fort this is our Hood now
- Fort Polk-a-dot Camo
- Fort Against Pt on the Hill
- Fort Whatever, because Belvoir was a place not person and no one really knows how to pronounce it anyway.
- Fort hard-Lee any PT
- Fort if you got a wedgie, Pickett
- Fort the North Can't Bragg Anymore
- Fort Darius Rucker
- Fort Benning the Knee
- Fort Gordon Lightfoot
- Fort this is our Hood now
- Fort Polk-a-dot Camo
- Fort Against Pt on the Hill
- Fort Whatever, because Belvoir was a place not person and no one really knows how to pronounce it anyway.
- Fort hard-Lee any PT
- Fort if you got a wedgie, Pickett

Leave them the F**k alone. Bragg will always be Bragg in my heart. Don't care what the woke feel or say. AATW.

PO1 Robert Ryan
Took Basic Fort Jackson E-2-1 Tank Hill March 1967- June 1967. I will not call iFort Jackson by any other name. Likewise took AIT Infantry ar Fort Polk (tiger Land) June 1967- September 1967 (extra 2 3 weeks for 11C ). I will not call Fort Polk by any other name. ( Even though I did not like Fort Polk).

None. Leave the names alone. You can't erase history and expect to learn from it.
