What suggestions do you have for renaming DoD installations honoring Confederate officers?

They should not be re-named...

Honesty why not splitter naming equally between Union, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color)and Confederate. This why one group another isn't being elevated and the reality of America history is being honored.

Leave them. Get over whatever hate you have. History is in the books, you can't change it.

If possible name them based on the County they are located

As an interesting aside, I served onboard a nuclear missile submarine - our key deterrent weapon. I retired in 1993 and interestingly enough, there were two sister shapes with interesting names:

USS Stonewall Jackson

Name them after the Native American Indian tribes that were dominant in the area where the base is located.

I had someone tell me Confederate officers were committing treason when they fought. I always try to remember that, at the time, they were fighting for what they believed was right and honorable. Not all were fighting for (or against) slavery; state rights were also in question. I don't like the changes based on that premise (i.e., officers were treasonous), but I do understand if people of color are upset.
