I would rather leave them be.
But, Sgt York and any other medal of honor recipient no matter what color of skin, gender, race, religion, branch, etc...

Can you imagine what it would cost to change the names? Everything that had, let us say, Ft. Hood written on it, would have to be changed to Ft. Audie Murphy.

Doesn't the DOD have more pressing matters to consider then paying attention to the Woke Culture? I'm just saying..

I would suggest they be renamed for enlisted Medal of Honor recipients.
Many current bases are named after General Officers and I think enlisted MOH recipients should be recognized.

Sorry, but it "doesn't matter"; well, I disagree with your comment. It does matter, because it is happening does not mean that it does not matter....changing history does matter. Airborne! HN

Rededicate Fort Lee, VA to either General "Light-Horse Harry" Lee a Revolutionary War General, but preferably LTG John C. H. Lee the WWII commander of the COMZ in Europe(J-4 in today's vernacular), commanding 800,000 Soldiers, supporting operations from Iceland to Africa, a strong advocate for ending racial segregation and "Jim Crow" policies in the US Army, allowing Black Soldiers to serve with Whites in combat arms battalions.

Leave well enough alone...our military has long rich tradition of using generals names for bases, vehicles ....
