Leave it alone, they’ve been named For so many years and they want to change it due to people sensitivity, well I say if you’re that sensitive, then you shouldn’t be in the service and or since you haven’t served, then you have no say.

its our history leave it alone. FT BENNING will always be Benning to me. but now they call it FT Moore. I was there 22. SEPTEMBER. 2023. for my neice's turn blue ceremony from Basic to AIT. it was still SANDHILL ROUSH BERRECK'S ware I became 11-B INFANTRYMAN on 17. JUNE. 1982. when it was FT Benning ARMY INFANTRY SCHOOL. C-6-1 pisted that the liberals are changing everything. my great grand-pa came here from Nole Nova Scotis. early 1900's operated A Boatyard at the ft of River st. Quincy MA. my grand pa & farther brother & my self worked in shipbuilding. we worked our asses off all of our lifes. dad was NAVY FA KOREA. I was & still serving as A VETERAN 26th (YANKEE) INFANTRY DIVISION. SGT AT ARMS MA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD BOSTON CHAPTER. my 1st born nephew USMC IRAQ. just A little of history of why this LEFTY LIBERAL CRAP OF CHANGING EVERYTHING ABOUT OUR HISTORY REALLY PISSES ME OFF SO MUCH. don't even get me going about the gender crap. their is ONLY TWO GENDERS (MALE & FEMALE) (BOY & GIRL) (MAN & WOMAN) PERIOD. STOP teaching that CRAP TO THE CHILDREN IS JUST SO WRONG. IT IS NOT OK TO BE GAY & TEACHING IT TO SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN IS WRONG PERIOD IF YOU WANT TO GRO UP AND BE GAY its your choice KEEP IT TO YOUR SELF"S PERIOD BRAINWASHING OUR CHILDREN IN SCHOOL DOSEN'T GIVE THEM THE CHOICE AND OR CHANCE TO BE NORMAL PERIOD. YES. I will FOREVER use the proper (traditional) names. I'm retired, so they can't stop me:) That makes me think, I need to get bumper stickers of the right names, so when I drive on Post....

You can't change History leave well enough alone. We don't have to bend over Backwards changing names it's not going to change anything.

For me, I have no idea the reasons for naming these post the way they did. Nor did I give thought to why they all were in the south. The prestige for those post came from the training being conducted, and the units stationed there. Leave it alone.

They still have to use the “real” name because using the replacement name, people don’t know where they are talking about. I have read a couple of articles and had no clue what post they were taking about until I saw (Benning).

Benning has already been designate as far as I know. Going to be Fort Moore from what I have heard after General Hal Moore.
They can name the forts anything they want but to us veterans we will always remember them as they were. Fort Benning will always be Fort Benning to me too much history there to be anything else. Same with all the others I will remember them as they were when I served.

Personally in my opinion it’s long time for a change. I believe the treasonous behavior of those that were involved in trying to over turn our government should have never been glorified. We should have never named anything after that institution of hate. Normally when you lose a conflict. Everything about you, or it is remembered but not magnified. Because, of that time and the people that were involved “DOC” Daughters of the Confederacy We’re they remembered. The confederacy lost the war but they won the outcome. These Military installations should never had been named after confederate Generals so I am welcoming that it’s time for a change to do away with this hateful remembrance of ignorance.

The bases were named for a reason, these people did something that the namer's believed provided a valuable service to the country. None of the bases should have their names changed to satisfy the idiotic culture of the progressive left.

MAJ William Walker
These installations were named by the people who gave up their land to make the bases. The naming was influenced by the DOC. It would have been easier if all the bases were named after their areas like the Navy

Sorry; it does matter deeply what is happening to our nation's history and heritage. Keep the current names.
