Doesn't matter if you agree with this move or not - it's been directed and it's happening. What are your suggestions for renaming the following bases?

- Fort Bragg
- Fort Rucker
- Fort Benning
- Fort Gordon
- Fort Hood
- Fort Polk
- Fort A.P. Hill
- Fort Belvoir
- Fort Lee
- Fort Pickett

Name some of them after women veterans or code talker veterans.

Bob, who would you suggest these forts be named after? What about Army medal of honor recipients.

Lisa, that was a good suggestion. On of the Forts could be named Fort Walker after Mary Edwards Walker who remains the only women ever to receive the Medal of Honor, which she was awarded for her service during the Civil War.

SMSgt Bob W. - The fact that some want to change the names is a racist move in the first place caused by racist people

[~1651578: SPC Lyle Montgomery Race has nothing to do with this issue. When you can't think of anything else it goes to old faithful--race. Grow up. This is politics at it's worse.

perhaps we could name them after the environment they are in. lol Fort Hood is now Fort F*uck it's Hot" and Fort Polk could be "Fort Swamp but Good Food" Fort Bragg could be "Fort Sh*t I didn't Know sand could get down there" just a thought.

Just think of what a huge waste of money goes into these name changes, neverminded the fact that it still will not appease the whinners

But if they must, lets go with stuff like Ft. Trump , Ft. Reagan , Ft. Eisenhower, Ft. Bush, you get the idea.

Naming whichever base that houses procurement after Eisenhower would be one hell of a burn…

To those who served on those bases, the original names ARE the names. Period. I've never set foot on Ft. "Liberty" or "Cavasos" or any of those that are newly named. The were and ever shall be FORT BRAGG and Fort Hood to me. Those posts were given those names originally as a sign of reconciliation, a recognition of the former Confederate States and people as fully accepted parts of the United States of America. Should that line of thought no longer apply? No more reconciliation? No more consideration of those states and people as fully American? Restore the original names and then leave 'em be. The WOKE BS should never have been infused into the military in the first place, and should be expunged now.

One thing came to mind as I read this post and responses that made me think. I visited the Pearl Harbor Memorial and watched an old video of the crew of the Battleship Missouri giving a military-honor burial to the Kamikaze pilot who died crashing into the ship. The pilot was not honored for his politics or national ideology; HE was honored as a loyal & brave solider who carried out HIS mission.

All my documents say Fort Polk, Fort Gordon, Fort Bragg, Fort Hood, etc… I will never call them anything else. It’s as simple as that…..

All they are trying to do is to erase history. Most of these bases have been there decades if not longer and only the last 8 years they became offensive. This speaks to hate and division pushed onto America from the Obama/biden admin

The name of the installation has been there for decades, it was Ludacris to change, "Put Them Back".
