I agree leave well enough alone, but if not MOH recipients, perhaps name posts after major military victories / battles?

I agree why do we need to spend the money and time to rename them after all the confederacy was still part of the United States just the southern part and those that served fought for what they thought was right it just to have slave’s.
The thing is those people on both sides died making this country what it is now . So let’s not forget andlet history repeat its self.

LEAVE THE NAMES ALONE.
Just find a new patron with the same name.
I am sure there are plenty out there with the same last name.

Since no human being is without vice or sin, eventually all will be found lacking in the eyes of some group in the US. Therefore, I suggest we rename these installations after admirable characters in fiction. Fort Tom Sawyer would do nicely. Fort Sam Damon would be perfect: he was the perfect soldier in Once An Eagle. Fort Natty Bumppo or Fort Chingachgook! Who could quibble with Fort Charlotte, our favorite spider? I would personally love to serve at Fort Rambo, although that is definitely a flawed character. Fort Yossarian would be a good place for...wait, he's another flawed character. Maybe it's not such a good solution, after all.

I think we should name one base after MG Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben. He was instrumental in the Revolutionary War victory and professionalizing the Army.
We should also rename one of the posts for General of the Armies John J. Pershing.
Also for Sergeant William Henry Johnson of the Harlem Hellfighters
Dr. Mary Walker, the only woman to have earned the Medal of Honor
There are so many people that are deserving of the honor to have a base named for them... these are a few that came to mind.

Just wondering I agree but why all the political correctness. Then name them after CMO awardees.

PO1 Robert Ryan - Why name them after treasonous generals in the first place? Would we have named a base Ft Benedict Arnold?

Fort Bragg should be renamed one of the following:
1) Fort Victory
2) Fort Spearhead
3) Fort Shield
4) Fort Dagger
5) Fort Eagle Feather
6) Fort Freedom
7) Fort Rebirth
These forts should be reflective of what is done there.
