Folded flag
This morning I got to sleep in until 0830 and when I went outside for my morning breath of fresh air I head something different than I had heard any other day. While I am used to hearing the rifle fire from the range I live close to they added something new to me this morning, I got to hear the National Anthem. Automatic reaction was to stand an salute drawing strange looks from the only other individual outside at that time, he is not a veteran and asked me what I was doing.

Understanding his confusion I offered this explanation; "Rendering honors to those who founded this country, those who have and are serving this country, and remembering those who have died protecting this country.

I work nights, so take your pick LOL. When I got home from work this morning the first thing I heard was the security alarm going off (before I disarmed it). Does that count?

The first thing I heard this morning was Silence, I know it sounds redundant but on the first day I've actually had to myself in 8 days, it was very well needed. But then my 2 cats decided to get in a fight... So that ended real quickly (:

Eight days a week, I wake up to my twins, running, screaming, and yelling. This is why I don't sleep much.

Dogs barking. We have three cute little dogs living with us (our Chihuahua, and our daughter's Pomeranian and Cockapoo). All three are great dogs, but they do like to bark.

Good on you man; always good to spread what we fight for to others who don't understand.

I do have to say though-whoever folded the flag in that photo needs to be retrained; is loose as hell lol

It was folded by a civilian SSG Kenneth Lanning, and has been fixed. And thanks for the response.
