We were told in Afghanistan if we got bit by a bat, wash it for 10 minutes in soap and
proceed to the TMC.
I told my snivelly motor sgt that I may or may not have been bitten by a bat. I washed it for 10 minutes and now have a super clean bat, what do you want me to do with it now?
After he quit freaking and calmed down and I explaine it was a joke.
Clean bat, get it?
Sent me to 1sgt to get counseled. 1sgt laughed for days.

Oh, I had my audience down. And CO and 1sg always appreciated the fine cigars I always had on hand.

I sent a female private to the supply room at the basement of our hospital for a box of fallopian tubes and she went…me not knowing the hospital commander was also in supply. Guess who got counseled?

While going through WAC Basic Officer Training in Ft. McClennan Alabama I was counseled by my company for laughing in the mess hall (not at anyone, I am just a genuinely happy person). I promised myself then if given the opportunity, I would save my counseling for important matters.

An enlisted soldier wasn’t issued a lanyard for her sidearm. An officer locked her heels marched her to the PX and made her buy a lanyard. I think the appropriate action would have been to take her to her unit supply to correct the situation.

I was counseled for almost killing myself when I was repairing an x-ray machine and the tube almost drop on my head, cracked/broke the table. I had never been trained on how to replace an x-ray tube and was ordered to go do it.

passing gas. A shipmate aboard my ship was written up for passing gas b/c another sailor, which I would not consider a sailor or shipmate for being so ridiculous as to press this issue, was offended.
