Did it have any influence on you beyond the cartoon itself?

I hung out in Head Shops so there were plenty but probably Heavy Metal was up there.

Looney Tunes (Bugs Bunny) - because while it had obviously cartoon humor to it, there was a level of sophistication (and inside jokes) that appealed to adults.
Star Blazers and Robotech - because they were so different from other cartoons of the time and cemented my love for anime.
Scooby-Doo - because who doesn't love watching a gay guy, a hot chick, a book worm, a stoner (voiced by Casey Kasem BTW) and a talking dog meddle with crime schemes.

"The Mighty Hercules". It taught strength and inner strength. Influence on me? It got me into building my body so I could be strong like him. It also got me into studying mythology, which got me into studying a lot of other things.
So, it got me to build my mind and my body.

SGT Rock. To me he was the cartoon version of my father. Please, no one say anything about Peanuts, I absolutely loathed that one for obvious reasons. This means you SFC Swartz! Still chuckling about the post.

Do you remember the cartoon "Gem"? That was my sisters favorite. She had magic ear rings and I believe their base was in a drive-in movie theater......... Not that I ever watched it.

Scooby Doo and the Looney Toons.
The only influence is that I still know how to have fun in almost any situation.

Looney Toons, definitely. You can find a lot of the old cartoons on Netflix now.
