What was your favorite movie/TV series to watch while deployed?

I watched 10 seasons of family guy....

Band of Brothers

One that's been said a few times is The Shield (07-08 tour). Amazing show... During my last tour (13-14), my team leader and I found another show from FX (maybe it was FXX) called Chosen. It was super inappropriate and only lasted for a season, but we thought it was hilarious.

On board ship, it was various movies on ship's TV, whatever was available. I did see "The Rock" 23 times on one deployment, after i started counting..lol At breakfast it was always the "Victory at Sea" series on the mess deck TV's, repeatedly morning after morning.

While in Iraq, it was whatever DVD's available, Law & Order, L&O SVU, Combat!, The Shield, Friends, B.O.B. to name a few, random movies and games on the laptop. Played a lot of cards.

I can tell you the worst one. Paranormal Activity 2. I was forced to watch that with my Team Leader on a Sunday afternoon because she was too scared to watch it solo.

I had picked up a tv series that had 5 seasons. There was also hard drives to copy movies from each other. I got into the tv show Supernatural, it's about two brothers traveling the US chasing Halloween stuff. Had some classic rock, girls and was interesting when it brought angels and demons into it. I stopped watching it, apparently it's a show for teenage girls.

We watched Generation Kill and gamed on a PS4 on our last deployment. Yes, MRE's instead on popcorn.

House, M.D. Some fellow medics and I would get into watching a few episodes if we had the free time.

When I was at Victory Base Complex 2007-2008 they had a place on base where locals could sell stuff and I found the new Battlestar Galactica series for about $5. I got what I paid for and some discs didn’t play well but it was a good way to unwind
