We all have the opportunity to mentor those around us.  Share your most significant opportunity you had to mentor either those above, or below you.

My Squad Leader would surprise me and my room-mate on our day off and take us out in the wood line, trying to get us lost, then he would use his morale compass to steady ours. His name was Sgt Sabo and I was an e-I owe ya one. I would have rushed Hell for that man.

THE most significant mentoring time that I had was during my deployment to Afghanistan.  I was an instructor/mentor to the Afghan Army School of Nursing...had 36 students and 3 staff that we mentored on a daily basis.  For US Military mentoring mement, no one specific, but I really enjoy mentoring members that have questions about pursuing schooling... helping to guide their thinking for best decissions for them is always rewarding.

What's very rewarding is when those you mentor take your advice and run with it, then turn into awesome leaders.....hint hint!
