I voted for him 3 times and believed in his changes. But the drone of constant investigations and John Does did have an effect on my support. Now the failure of WEDC is on the table. I thought he would last longer, but realized he would not make it this go around.

He was in my personal top tier, but he just didn't have a niche of support in the crowded field...

You had Carson, Trump and Fiorina filling the outsider role

Cruz and Walker fighting over the rebel establishment role

Paul taking the libertarians

Bush taking the establishment special interest groups

Christie and Graham taking the RINO position

and everyone else filing the anyone but them role...

Walker couldn't compete with Cruz as a rebel and didn't fit in any other niche.

There are two factors at work here:
He is no longer a Presidential candidate because he tripped all over himself on the border question and the money abandoned him. His Midwestern reserve did not focus attention, and his poll support plummeted. Game over, Mr Governor. Better luck in Madison.

Meanwhile in Wisconsin, Governor Walker has accumulated a lot of enemies with labor disputes that happened a couple years ago. Charges and accusations have been a steady drumbeat ever since, in hopes of discrediting him and weakening him enough for a Democrat to replace him. Dirty business, that. But par for the course in politics.

Governor Walker has proven adept at handling mud thrown from Madison and Milwaukee. But he couldn't handle the big stage.
Rick Perry had similar issues. As does Bobby Jindahl. So did Tim Pawlenty last election cycle.

It wasn't abrupt, it was long coming after the first debate. His performance was poor and his attitude towards Civilian groups proved how he would act towards Veteran Groups and other military groups. Especially comparing them to terrorist groups.

1stSgt (Join to see) I have been very impressed by GOV Scott Walkers calm demeanor and the way he was able to calmly navigate the attempts to oust him from office, attempt to disrupt his agenda, etc. He is a class act.

Great individual and if he and I were Democrats I would go to Wisconsin and vote for him.
