As 1stSgt Eugene Harless said, this could affect someone for a lifetime. Additionally, the base system generally has filters. I encountered a similar issue when looking up the USS Essex (because it has the word "sex" in it).
Now, as for the computer itself, treat this like any other incident. Secure the evidence, and start and investigation. Don't assume anything. All you know is he is possession of contraband, not that he is the end user.
Escalate. Escalate APPROPRIATELY.
Remember, you are only in possession of some of the information and the process is designed to find ALL of it. Getting the CoC, PMO, etc involved is the 2nd step in that (after securing the evidence).

CPO Bill Penrod - I think ALL pedophiles should get the stiffest penalties allowed but I still have a problem with students going through the instructors materials. The IG can and do but a student looking for easy answer is a long way from the IG. "Hey Top guess what I found in Instructor Joes 's computer........."
