So this CSM from the the 8th MP BDE seems to be out of regulations. From the comments she has been corrected but she claims she is being harassed. I don't even understand how she got to be a CSM at a BDE. What COL out there is letting this happen? In one of the photos she is wearing stilettos in uniform. WTF? What kind of example is this. The worst is from a Facebook user that said:

"This one!!!! Holy **** she was in charge of us in Afghanistan!! I could go on and on about this toxic leader!! Trying to maintain professionalism but this one.....when a CSM so jacked up like this, she was laughing her ass off during our rehearsal of my brothers ceremony after he was killed in Afghanistan, she f***ing yelled at me because I "took too long saying my goodbye " as I'm f***ing crying kneeling in front of it. This post will probably get me in trouble, and ruin the rest of my army career as well as my day and my army experience."

What would you do if you were there? What if you were on command?

What should the Army do about this?

(Thanks to Army MP WTF Moments and it's followers for the photos.)

**************UPDATE************************
The 8th Theater Sustainment Command CSM will be travelling to the 8th MP BDE to have some one on one time with this CSM. It is amazing as leaders will do when they are being called out. He should have done that a long time ago.

If policies, procedures and regulations don't apply to Command Sergeants Major they don't apply to anybody. There are always a few in every profession who squeak by. They eventually get what they have coming to them, but usually only after they have negatively impacted others. Because we don't have any proof about her alleged actions at the memorial service, other than a post from a WTF moments page, and those have to be taken with a huge grain of salt, we are only left with her obvious violation of grooming standards. She will scream that she is being harassed and discriminated against. I would imagine that the allegations will lead to a 15-6. Hopefully in the end the truth will come out.

CSM, there is plenty of proof she is being harassed between all the different social medias that are covering this event. I don't believe that is fair to her as I posted on Facebook a couple days ago. I'm not justifying what she has or has not done but wrong is wrong no matter how you say it.

SSG Jordan Gaudard - Like I said, I knew her briefly and it seems that things are catching up to her.

CSM (Join to see) - Unfortunately, I knew her more than briefly. She was a real piece of work. All I can say is what goes around comes around and she deserves everything that is happening to her.

I would address the issue in person. Pull her aside, ensure she knows I am making a uniform/appearance correction, and provide her with the regulation (which I am sure she knows) reference. If she were to ignore my correction, I'd go to her next higher CSM. If that failed, I'd go higher. There is no excuse for allowing this to continue without correction. As a Retired CSM, I am appalled at the lack of professionalism represented here. Standards are just that, standards! The NCOs who work for, with, and above her are all responsible for upholding/enforcing the standards, for ALL Soldiers (Enlisted, Warrant, or RLOs), period. No exceptions.

Except with her it won't work. She has always marched to the beat of a different drum and gotten away with it. Until now.

Last I heard a commissioned officer out ranked a CSM. What did you do about it. I never met an O-3 that was afraid of calling an E-9 out, in private when the incident called for it. What has the military come to? And the reaction is to blame the CSM?

I was a 1LT serving in the same BN as her. I called her out for it, in private, and she ran and cried to the S3 MAJ she had in her hip pocket about it and I got fired. Farmed out to another unit. Same thing happened to a couple other LTs who dared to try to correct her deficiencies.

This is a no brainer, if you did not intend so, her leadership will know now. Unfortunatley there was probably a better way to get there. The milk is spilt, you should not feel repercussion, but you may be scolded for your approach. In the future take this stuff to the next level command, IG, EO etc.

If see my profile I am a Veteran. I am not in the Army any more due to crap like this. So I don't think I will be scolded much. But I love busting out failures like this. When I was in you couldn't see what you wanted. Now I can.

CSM this has been addressed by JUNIOR Soliders to her not peers or seniors since I've noticed it in 2008 while at ANCOC. This is a problem in the MP corps, she was allowed to be like this as a Soldier, a NCO, a Drill Sergeant and every other step of her career. The current MP Regimental CSM was replaced as the 8th MP BDE CSM by her and it wasn't addressed then, if it had not blown up on social media it would've never been addressed or fixed. Her Soldiers deserve a standard bearer and a true example of military bearing, and she's never been either of those. She deserves to be put out to pasture and placed far away from the Army and Soliders.

or, any NCO could have walked up and politely addressed the deficiency. Any NCO that noticed the problem and failed to address it is derelict in their duty. We don't get to ignore the enforcement of regulation. That CSM could have told a subordinate NCO to pound sand, but at least he addressed the issue instead of embarrassing his entire unit.

If the boss isn't willing or able to correct her, what is a subordinate leader supposed to do. I think I would explain to my soldiers that this is unacceptable but there is not much that can be done at our level. I always had the mantra that ALL leaders teach, some how to do things or treat people, some how NOT to do things and tray people.

It is toxic if you ask me. It shows a failure at leadership at so many levels. It just shows that she can get away with it so they can try to get away with the something too.

Agreed, how are subordinate leaders supposed to maintain the standards if the top NCO in the BDE is unwilling to follow the same standard

BOTTOM LINE.....While I empathize with you outrage..... the dog wags the tail.....the tail does not wag the dog..... BOTH the offending CSM and her chain of command need corrective action.... but it must come down .....not up
My disgust is not so much with her hair as her attitude....with rank.....comes privileges AND RESPONSIBILITIES..... she should set the standard not abuse it

I really didn't think that the Army had any uniform regulations, I guess I'm wrong for thinking that.

Since we now are a all VOLINTAERY force there is no reason people cannot read and understand dress codes. I realize dress standards have fallen to where peoplle look much less proffessionalthese days. Whenn i look upon our young people I see witch doctos looking painted people. I cannot help myself and laugh at hoe the military has become a circus act. It's hard to look upon these people as proffessionals ever. It must be very hard to get people to join unless standards have to go away. Blame those who allowed this stuff to happen in the first place. People WILL take advantage of rule when allowed to.

We all know there are those individuals who skirt thru the cracks by ass kissing and sometimes getting their knees dirty to advance so let's not be coy and pretend this doesn't happen.. they end up getting so far ahead in so little time without being an actual Soldier. I had one who ended up messing around with the BN SGM, he was caucasian and she was African American he ended up getting relieved of command but someway somehow it seemed like they were trying to push her situation under the rug.. as if she knew someone else.. I was cool with her but then I started noticing the preferential treatment of no duties and other perks.. they are out there!!
